St. Francis Cathedral

This structure was a labour of love, having taken over 21 years to build. It was first St. Francis Xavier's Church when opened in 1932. It was chosen as a Cathedral by the newly formed diocese in Bangalore, and the Cathedral was consecrated in 1948. The structure is completely made of granite stones with an arched concrete roofing covered with Mangalore tiles.
